The purpose of this fire sleeve is not to increase the service temperature of a hose line but to protect the hose from direct fire long enough to allow appropriate action to be taken. This sleeve meets the fire resistant requirements of TSO-C53A or TSO-C75.
The dash number denotes the inside diameter in 1/16” of an inch, we do suggest you use the next size up to ensure easy installation.
Sold by the 30cms (approx. one foot) so for a 4 foot length order 4 x 30 cms.
The core of this sleeve is a fire resistant glass fibre, to prevent wicking the ends should be dipped in Aeroquip “end dip” solution. However, this is expensive so we will do this for you at a charge of £2.50 per piece. Please indicate the exact length you require of each piece of fire sleeve and you will be charged to the next 30cm i.e:- if you have 4 pieces that come to a total of 110 cms you will be charged 4 lots of £2.50 for dipping and charged for 120 cm of fire sleeve.
