XMP Metalguard
XMP Metalguard offers the highest standards of metal protection. The XMP formulation has been fully proven by the defence and aerospace industries and is effective on all kinds of components and tools. XMP is easy to apply by either brush, spray or dipping and once the solvent has evaporated a microscopically thin layer will protect for up to two years.
XMP Metalguard protects all ferrous and non ferrous metals and alloys whether bare or plated. It is especially effective in preventing electrolytic corrosion in mixed metal electrical connections. The soft film is not damaged by acid fingers and is self repairing when scuffed, though easy to remove if necessary. It is harmless to most plastics, rubbers and paints and it is also silicone free.
XMP Metalguard penetrates the smallest nooks and crannies unlike waxy treatments, does not attract dust and debris, and because of its powerful water-displacing characteristics, it can be applied directly on to wet surfaces.
EngineGuard Vapour Oil
EngineGuard Vapour Oil is the complete and economical way to protect the inside of engines, gearboxes and steel fuel tanks. Unlike ordinary preservative oils where surfaces have to be coated, V2K oil has only to be present in a closed system for the vapour to be effective. The complex formulation of powerful vapour phase and contact corrosion inhibitors is carried in a highly refined mineral oil, making it compatible with mineral and semi-synthetic oils, petrol and diesel fuel. V2K provides valuable and low cost protection for engines which are used intermittently.
It is economical as well as effective because a little goes a long way. Vapour Oil should be replaced only when the oil is changed.
The effectiveness of the vapour-phase corrosion inhibitor has been comprehensively tested. It is both fast acting and long lasting, whether the engine is run or not.
For small aircraft engines up to approx 135 bhp, add 40-50 ml at every oil change to provide continuing year round protection. Supplied in a 250 ml tin.
ToolGuard VCI Emitters
ToolGuard VCI emitters provide protection against corrosion for any at risk metal items in tool boxes, storage cabinets, gun cases, electrical junction boxes etc. They are also valuable in providing medium and long term protection for any components stored in polythene bags. The storage containers do not need to be completely airtight, doors and drawers can be opened and closed periodically without adversely affecting the emitters effectiveness.
The powerful active ingredients in the emitters are stored in a small 35 mm diameter aluminium tin that is small enough to be unobtrusive in a wide range of storage or display applications. To activate the emitter simply unscrew the lid and remove same, and an area in volume of 3 cubic feet (or 100 litres) is then protected for a period of up to two years, for larger areas simply place more emitters in place, self adhesive pads are supplied to help fix the emitters in the desired position.
